The Director, Talent will be responsible for day-to-day management of all human resources and talent initiatives across a portfolio of departments within Mars United Commerce. Reporting to the SVP, Talent, this individual will collaborate in a shared services model to deliver best in class talent initiatives to roughly 400 employees. Responsibilities • Work in partnership with the SVP, Talent to deliver strategic Talent consulting to internal clients, becoming a trusted resource to leadership, managers, and staff. • Provide counseling and coaching to all staff on interpersonal relations, advising and recommending resolutions to issues, and promoting collaborative relations between all employees. • Protect the interests of employees and the company by establishing policies and practices in accordance with company culture and governmental laws and regulations. • Determine legal requirements and government reporting regulations and monitors the exposure of the company. Advises management with recommendations on compliance, particularly those that pertain to labor, equal opportunity, health, and safety sub-areas. • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams: compensation, talent experience, resource management, finance, operations, and talent acquisition. • Contribute to the development and implementation of value-added Talent programs such as corporate social responsibility, leadership development, performance management, and succession planning. • Lead compensation planning and review cycles. • Review job descriptions and advises on the correct FLSA classifications - exempt/non-exempt, full-time/part-time, temporary/independent contractor, collaborates with PDX and internal compensation teams for alignment. • Oversee all employee relations matters and investigations to minimize organizational risk. • Provide excellent client service by ensuring a positive employee experience. • Help drive people initiatives focusing on retention, engagement, recognition, and talent management. • Provide counseling and support on corporate policies and benefit programs - liaison with Publicis Groupe Payroll and Benefit teams. • Administers company leave policies and coordinates with employees utilizing leaves of absence to advise, assist, and ensure legal compliance. • Advise and respond quickly to management needs regarding general Talent & HR issues. • Collaborating with the Talent team, leadership, and client teams to implement and support the people and culture strategies, initiatives and programs that effectively support the mission, vision, values, and corporate objectives of each agency within the portfolio. Requirements • 10+ years of progressive experience in the Human Resources field. • Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail. • Willing to go that extra mile to deliver high quality output. • Great problem-solving skills and candidate must have strong organizational skills. • Experience managing and/or mentoring team members. • Strong knowledge of all applicable state and federal regulations. • Ability to work well in a flexible, dynamic work environment. • Strong knowledge in all aspects of human resources management. • Knowledge of legal process and procedures as related to personnel and labor matters. • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of company personnel. • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form and demonstrated analytical skills. • Solid negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate discussion and mediate conflict. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
