Job Description: Senior Price Risk Manager – Dairy Commodities Location: Chicago, Ill, Dublin Irl. other Mars North America, Central Europe and Eurasia sites considered Mars Snacking is seeking a Senior Price Risk Manager to lead development and execution of our commodity price risk strategies, including managing derivatives positions. Reporting to the Head of Commodity Price Risk Management, this role plays a vital part in navigating dynamic and volatile markets in dairy, cocoa, sugar, and/or grains to protect business value. What We Are Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, supply chain, mathematics, or a related field • Minimum of 8 years of significant experience in commodity or currency trading, market research, or price risk management. • Experience in soft commodities - cocoa, sugar, grains. Dairy preferred. • Demonstrable expertise in using futures, options, and other derivative instruments • Strong analytical capabilities and a performance-driven mindset. What would your key responsibilities be? • Originate and implement strategies to effectively manage commodity price risk across a global portfolio of dairy commodities • Execute derivative transactions (futures, options, OTC), ensuring compliance with internal policies and market regulations • Monitor market trends and conduct analysis to inform risk strategies and decision-making • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insight into Mars' price risk and develop durable solutions for managing exposure • Compose verbal and written communications that inform business understanding and decision-making on dairy commodity markets • Contribute to global market intelligence and reporting • Ensure alignment with internal controls, governance standards, and financial reporting requirements • External focus: building PRM programs with key dairy partners, best practices sharing with broader industry, e.g. PRM forums, conferences. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
