Bachelor's degree, 5+ years sales management experience with Marriott full-service hotel sales, 3+ years leading sales teams, knowledge of Marriott systems, ability to travel, and experience in revenue management.
Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Infinity Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. As the Area Sales & Revenue Manager, you will be a key player in driving significant revenue growth within the Infinity Hotels' territory. Our company currently owns/manages three (3) locations. You would lead and mentor a sales team, develop and execute effective sales strategies, and manage budgets to maximize profitability. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a substantial impact on the company's success. This is a hands-on position that requires travel to our locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets for all locations. Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing training and ongoing support. This includes performance management and work direction. Accurately forecast sales and manage budgets effectively to ensure profitability. You will make key decisions regarding resource allocation and budget adjustments. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients; actively engaging in account management and client relationship management (CRM). Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company. Analyze sales data and prepare comprehensive sales reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve company-wide goals. Actively participate in hands-on sales strategy, contributing directly to sales efforts. You must have prior experience and working knowledge of the Marriott systems, i.e., CI and FSPMS. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of exceeding targets. Minimum 3 years of experience leading and mentoring sales teams. Full-service hotel sales experience is required, specifically with the Marriott brand. Ability to travel as needed is required. Knowledge/Skills: Sales Management: Proven ability to manage and motivate sales teams. Revenue Generation: Strong understanding of revenue generation strategies and tactics. Sales Forecasting: Proficient in sales forecasting and budget management. Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing budgets. Team Leadership: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Sales Strategy: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Account Management: Proven ability to manage key accounts and build strong client relationships. Client Relationship Management (CRM): Experience using CRM software. Negotiation: Excellent negotiation and closing skills. Sales Reporting: Proficiency in analyzing sales data and preparing reports. Training: Ability to train and develop sales team members. Required Qualifications: You'll need to have experience in the hotel industry. Full-service Marriott hotel sales experience. Previous experience and a working knowledge of Revenue Management.
