About the Product Operations Specialist – HP Z: MarketStar is currently hiring a Product Operations Specialist to represent one of the most influential tech companies in the world: Hewlett-Packard, Inc. As a Product Operations Specialist for HP Z Workstations, you will increase the HP and reseller partner sales representatives’ awareness, understanding and positioning of their workstation products and solutions. You will leverage existing content to create, develop, and distribute marketing messaging and product selling tools to the sales teams. You will make extensive use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications to create, modify, maintain, update, and deliver tools, tables, documents, reports, and messages that will assist sales organizations in learning about and selling their products. Location: US - Remote What will you do? Be the interface to the other MarketStar team members, WS Specialists, PBMs for answering product technical, program, and promotion questions Manage and maintain Desktop and Mobile Workstation Lifecycle Charts for Channel Creation of SmartBuy Setup Files (Excel) for new SKUs ad hoc during the quarter Conduct Friday Channel Partner product and promotion/program update calls Lead regular channel outreach in the form of "Did you know", Product info, Competitive, WKS news type deliverables to keep WKS top of mind with resellers. Create and deliver customer-facing marketing/sales info comms/messages/collateral Provide Channel Partner support by answering WORKSTATION PRODUCT questions such as lifecycle, demand steering, component compatibility, etc. Support with key topics or segments and products training both formally recorded as well as delivering live/virtual (i.e. FED or EDU focused content) presentations Support for Playbook Updates (PowerPoint) Sales training webinars and reseller trainings as needed. Product Updates from Centers of Excellence (COE) Management Team and Product Managers What will you need to succeed? An understanding of commercial workstations and how they differ from standard commercial desktop and notebook PCs Position Z Desktop and Z Mobile Workstation stack – understanding value prop of each (e.g. be able to answer, “Why do I need a workstation” and “What makes HP workstations better.”) Be focused, patient, and proficient at diving into the daily operational aspect of working with MS Office suite to produce, modify, edit, update, maintain and manage deliverables such as spreadsheets, slide decks, word docs, emails, etc. Align and leverage HP workstation resources to assist trainings and escalations as needed. Understand the customer’s needs and be able to speak to and position Z Workstation solutions for the most common workflows that workstation customers use, including Data Science, Construction/Architecture/Engineering, Media & Entertainment and Finance, Healthcare, Energy, etc. Utilize appropriate HP sales tools to help support customer and partner needs and concerns. Recommend optimal configurations for the customer’s environment.
