Job Title: VDC - Senior HVAC Modeler Company Overview: Mark III Construction is a leading construction firm specializing in innovative building solutions across commercial and industrial sectors. Role Overview: As a Senior HVAC Modeler, you will play a critical role in the virtual design and construction (VDC) process, working closely with trade specialists and design teams to develop detailed HVAC models. Your expertise will support the successful execution of projects from preconstruction through completion. What You'll Do: - You will collaborate with Mechanical BIM Leads and Trade Specialists to create accurate HVAC models. - You will coordinate with internal modelers and design teams to ensure model integration and clash detection. - You will support the preconstruction phase by developing detailed design assist and design-build models. - You will review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to inform modeling. - You will participate in project meetings to provide technical input and updates on modeling progress. - You will assist in maintaining BIM standards and best practices within the team. - You will troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues to ensure project timelines are met. - You will mentor junior modelers and provide guidance on HVAC modeling techniques. What You Bring: - You have 5+ years of experience in HVAC modeling within a construction or engineering environment. - You are proficient in Revit and Navisworks for BIM modeling and coordination. - You have strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction processes. - You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively. - You have experience with clash detection and resolution in BIM workflows. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with Design-Build and Design Assist project delivery methods. - Familiarity with other VDC software such as AutoCAD MEP or BIM 360. - LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications. - Prior experience mentoring or leading a modeling team.
