Job Summary: The Regional Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, deployment, utilization, and maintenance of fleet assets within their assigned region. This role ensures optimal use of company vehicles and equipment while aligning with corporate safety, procurement, and financial objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, accounting, and external vendors to implement regional standards and compliance initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, fleet operations knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Planning & Capital Management Partner with the Director of Procurement and Fleet Management to develop the annual CAPEX budget for the region. Submit and manage all approved fleet-related CAPEX requests, following a thorough review of spare, excess, and underutilized assets. Assess vehicle application to ensure the deployment of the most cost-effective and purpose-fit models. Asset Management & Dispositions Oversee all asset dispositions, including asset valuation, purchase review, and adherence to decommissioning protocols (e.g., Holman Insights updates, decal removal, accounting notification). Monitor monthly low-mileage and low-utilization reports and lead actions for redeployment or retirement in collaboration with other regional fleet directors. Standardization & Maintenance Establish and implement regional vehicle standards including make, chassis configuration, and upfit specifications for the upcoming model year. Standardize and enforce maintenance schedules; track service compliance and report key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop a regional maintenance optimization strategy including: Leveraging internal maintenance teams Utilizing Holman Maintenance (GMS) Evaluating third-party mobile maintenance services Systems, Compliance & Data Accuracy Ensure a single, consistent point of data entry into Holman Insights; perform quarterly audits to verify data accuracy and completeness. Monitor GeoTab safety scores across the region; work jointly with the Safety and Operations teams to create and execute safety improvement plans. Support and enforce national fleet compliance programs. Lead implementation and adoption of new programs, such as DVIR or GMS. Ordering & Vendor Coordination Collaborate with Holman’s product managers to establish vehicle selectors for factory orders. Manage and submit all stock and factory vehicle orders through Holman’s system. Participate actively in Mariani’s Fleet Council to align regional strategies with national objectives. Additional Responsibilities As needed, develop and execute capital improvement plans for regional bulk fuel systems. Stay up to date on fleet trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure regional alignment with best practices. Qualifications: Minimum 5–7 years of fleet management or logistics experience, preferably in a multi-site or regional role. Strong understanding of fleet asset lifecycle, vehicle specifications, maintenance scheduling, and CAPEX planning. Familiarity with fleet management software (e.g., Holman Insights, GeoTab, GMS). Proven analytical skills and attention to detail in asset evaluation and data reporting. Effective leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Must reside within the assigned region.
