ABOUT THE JOB Marathon Health is seeking an experienced IT Vendor Management Analyst. This role will oversee the performance, contracts, and relationships of key technology vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The Analyst will work closely with the senior director of technology planning and technology performance management to optimize agreements, manage risks, and ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of IT services and products. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a vendor management program, leveraging assets and systems to advance business outcomes, and collaborating with technology leaders to manage vendor relationships. This role involves both external and internal stakeholder interactions to deliver IT solutions and services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Establish and implement an IT vendor management program that aligns with Marathon’s corporate goals and enhances teammate productivity and satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Operations, Legal, Privacy, Finance, and HR, to meet objectives related to IT vendor management. Enhance service quality and delivery through continuous performance monitoring and constructive feedback. Drive cost savings by negotiating favorable contracts and optimizing resource utilization. Mitigate risks related to vendor issues, such as non-compliance, security breaches, and service disruptions. Stay informed on emerging technologies and services to ensure Marathon maintains its competitive technical advantage. Proactively monitor and manage contract renewals to optimize costs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and any necessary service or product adjustments. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in broader IT roles, with at least 3+ years of hands on experience in IT Vendor Management negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring vendor compliance. A strong understanding of IT procurement, vendor governance, and operational processes is required. A solid foundation in IT infrastructure, software, and systems is critical for success in this role. Financial acumen (cost management, budget alignment) required. Procurement expertise is a plus. Experience in the healthcare industry, including familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance, is highly preferred. Knowledge and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC, and Hi-Trust are beneficial, especially in healthcare or similar regulated industries. Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions is required, with healthcare-specific solutions preferred. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, particularly AWS, is strongly desired, including experience managing contractual commitments related to cloud services. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES Proven track record in developing and implementing vendor management policies and procedures, with a history of successfully executing related programs. Comprehensive experience in working with information technology contracts, including familiarity with relevant terminology, terms, and the negotiation of complex agreements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated capacity to translate technical IT concepts into clear, non-technical language for diverse audiences. Solid experience in managing the end-to-end RFI/RFP processes for IT vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational needs and objectives. Strong cost management expertise in relation to vendors, with procurement experience considered an additional advantage. Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong analytical and data management abilities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Proven project management skills, with the ability to apply these skills to vendor management programs and initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and alignment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly strong expertise in Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and vendor performance tracking.
