ABOUT THE JOB The Data Quality Analyst supports the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used across Marathon Health’s analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making. This role works closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to monitor and improve data quality processes, identify issues, and assist in implementing corrective actions. The Data Quality Analyst will help build confidence in the data powering dashboards, performance reports, and clinical insights by validating data, maintaining business rules, and supporting ongoing governance initiatives. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to grow expertise in data management and quality frameworks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in defining and documenting data quality standards, metrics, and business rules. Support implementation and maintenance of data quality monitoring processes, including validation and exception reporting. Perform data profiling and exploratory analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and gaps across multiple source systems. Collaborate with data engineering, integration, and analytics teams to research and resolve data quality issues. Maintain documentation of data lineage, definitions, and business rules to support cross-team understanding. Help create and maintain data quality dashboards and scorecards to monitor key metrics. Contribute to data quality audits and prepare findings for review by senior analysts or leadership. Support analytics and reporting teams by validating source data used for business reporting. Participate in new system implementations and integration projects to ensure quality standards are met. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field and 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, data quality or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare experience, preferred. Basic proficiency in SQL and one or more data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, Alteryx). DESIRED ATTRIBUTES Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Understanding of data governance concepts and an interest in developing expertise in data quality frameworks. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy/security best practices a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Analytical mindset with curiosity to investigate and resolve data issues. Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative team player, eager to learn from and support senior team members. Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement. Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000/yr The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
