About the position Responsibilities • Plan, develop, and publish daily content across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, and Instagram that aligns with Army CIO messaging priorities, campaign goals, and AP style guidelines. • Translate complex Army IT and cyber policies into accessible, engaging content, including captions, infographics, and short-form video using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. • Capture and edit multimedia content at Army events, leveraging photography, videography, and visual storytelling to support senior leadership messaging across digital platforms. • Analyze social media performance metrics via Sprinklr, build dashboards, track trends, and deliver monthly, insight-driven social media reports to Army CIO leadership. • Engage directly with senior leadership and Army staff to coordinate messaging, present content strategies, and ensure alignment with public communication policies and branding standards. • Maintain a structured archive of multimedia content, ensuring accurate labeling, secure storage, and compliance with Army records management requirements and DoD social media policy. • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AVMM systems for high-visibility town halls, executive briefings, and hybrid events, including IPTV, microphones, PTZ cameras, and conference room technologies. • Create and maintain AVMM infrastructure across training and operational environments, including planning, design, installation, monitoring, and tuning of AVMM and networked systems to ensure reliability, performance, and security. • Provide hands-on leadership and technical direction to subordinate AV support personnel, ensuring system readiness and adherence to operational and cybersecurity standards. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, journalism, public affairs, Internet technology or a related field and nine (9) years of relevant experience OR a high school diploma and thirteen (13) years of relevant experience. • Demonstrated experience managing professional social media accounts, preferably for government or military entities. • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic content creation across multimedia formats. • Proficiency in multimedia and content creation tools, including Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar video editing programs), Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Lightroom, and batch closed captioning software for video accessibility. • Hands-on experience with photography and videography equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting setups. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with Sprinklr or similar platforms (e.g., Hootsuite) and the ability to build and manage analytics dashboards. • Experience working with or supporting the Department of Defense, especially Army components. • Demonstrated ability to balance creative content development with strict policy and brand compliance. • Strong understanding of content records management and government documentation standards. • Working knowledge of emerging technologies, such as AI, and how to use prompts for ideation and content generation.
