Manning Publications is looking for a Sales Focused Data Analyst / Manager to join our team to drive our website sales. We’ve been publishing books that teach technical topics to software professionals for over two decades, and we believe our books, projects, and videos are the best in the business. Our books are sold through multiple channels and through our own website. We’re now looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Focused Data Analyst / Manager to help significantly increase the sales achieved through our own website by growing our mailing list, enhancing all our website sales channels, and improving our conversion rates. Working collaboratively alongside our title marketing and email marketing managers, your role will be to identify opportunities to enhance revenue, to instigate fast-paced testing of those opportunities through A/B or multivariant testing, and through a data driven approach determine strategies and courses of action that will lead to strong revenue growth. This is a remote working position liaising with colleagues around the world. We are not a big team and so you will need to be hands-on and willing to occasionally work in the evening to accommodate discussions with others in different time zones. Responsibilities Website Sales • Continuously search for opportunities to increase inbound volumes across all website sales channels including via email, affiliates, SEO, and direct. • Continuously search for opportunities to improve conversion and sales rates, for example through website design, personalization, bundled titles, product page improvements, enhanced purchase journeys and improvements to the cart. • Develop and own the program to test such opportunities and ensure relevant data and analytics are captured to deliver measurable results • Quickly interpret those results, draw unique insights and provide clear recommendations for future investment and experiments Email marketing • Use data driven insights to identify opportunities to grow our mailing list and improve the volume of sales derived from it. • Develop and own programs to test such opportunities and manage and build the size of the list and its responsiveness. • Working with our email marketing department, identify opportunities, and develop and own programs to improve the effectiveness of our email marketing. Requirements • Proven experience of conversion optimisation and A/B testing • Strong analytical background, comfortable with data analysis and reporting • Good working knowledge of multiple analytics tools and database • Previous experience of a developer focused platform is preferred • An interest in technology, coding, innovation and excellence Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Expected hours: No more than 40 per week Benefits: • Work from home Work Location: Remote
