Role Summary Job Description This position can be based Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote (depending on candidate location) from our office in Gastonia, NC. As a National Account Sales Manager - Retail at MANN+HUMMEL, you will hold a strategic position driving the growth and daily operations of our sales organization. Your primary objective is new business development, manage client accounts effectively, negotiate contracts, and spearhead innovative marketing strategies to bolster brand positioning and revenue streams. With a focus on profitability and client satisfaction, you will lead initiatives to optimize sales performance, product management, and customer relations on a national scale. Job Responsibilities • Manage the daily operations of select accounts within our sales organization, seeking out profitable avenues for growth among existing and prospective clientele • Negotiate and manage client contracts and agreements including commercial terms, pricing and support • Direct sales efforts to align with business targets, emphasizing sales, profitability, and accounts receivables performance • Conceptualize / utilize marketing initiatives and product management activities to support brand strategies and revenue development, including recommendations for promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, retail pricing, new item introduction and programs / modular sets • Conduct comprehensive customer line reviews to manage product lifecycles, as well as identify and develop new business opportunities • Identify and analyze customer performance and business trends utilizing syndicated data, customer portals, account profitability and category information. Must maintain detailed knowledge of both current and targeted profitability by product group and customer • Drive new business development through innovative acquisition strategies tailored to our current and prospective customer base • Consolidate analytical insights into actionable formats, fostering effective communication within the account team and with our clients • Monitor and optimize customer order fulfillment performance, ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction • Act as the primary managerial liaison for assigned clients, orchestrating effective collaboration between clients and internal teams at MANN+HUMMEL Requirements Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field Experience: • Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in mass retail sales, or sales experience in automotive related retail industries selling to Big Box retailers • Previous experience actively navigating through client portals Required Skills: • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Track record of success in new business development, demonstrating strategic acumen and client acquisition prowess • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and independently • Exceptional English communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and independent thinking • Ability to travel up to 50% (Regional/Domestic U.S./ International) Preferred Experience/Skills: • Proven project management experience and skills
