Mangrove is a SaaS platform dedicated to helping investors and entrepreneurs improve operational resilience and identify risks. Our application helps users understand their assets, teams, vendors, and services through structured data, providing critical visuals and analytics to inform data-driven decisions. The platform is designed to help prioritise resources and build a more resilient future. Ultimately avoiding silly mistakes and reducing failure rates. Looking for: Mangrove is seeking a highly experienced Lead Developer to act as a technical co-founder, focusing on refining and scaling our SaaS application. This is a critical, equity-only role, with rev-sharing. We are looking for a hands-on technical expert who is passionate about building a robust and scalable platform from the ground up. As our Lead Developer, you will be instrumental in overhauling our backend architecture and ensuring our platform is ready for significant growth. You will partner directly with our founder, to translate her vision into a seamless and reliable product. Responsibilities: • Lead the technical strategy and execution for scaling Mangrove's backend infrastructure on Azure. • Address foundational issues within the current application, particularly with the onboarding and payment systems, to ensure a smooth and automated user experience. • Optimize the existing codebase, written in Python, JavaScript, and React, to improve performance, reliability, and scalability. • Work closely with the founder to align technical development with business goals and prepare for a future funding round. • Act as a technical leader, mentoring junior developers and establishing best practices for code quality and deployment. Required Experience: • Extensive experience as a senior backend developer or software architect, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable SaaS applications. • Deep expertise with Python and experience with JavaScript and React. • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure. • Demonstrable experience solving complex technical challenges related to system integration, particularly with payment gateways and third-party APIs. • Experience with LLM, workbenches, data-driven platforms, analytics, and complex workflows is a significant plus. • Experience with venture capital and the startup ecosystem is an added bonus.
