Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer Company Overview: Maneva is an innovative startup founded by a former Google DeepMind researcher, dedicated to transforming manufacturing operations through advanced AI technologies. We specialize in delivering AI-powered solutions that enable autonomous factory operations and optimize production efficiency using off-the-shelf hardware and proprietary software. Role Overview: As a Mechatronics Engineer at Maneva, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and integrating intelligent mechanical and electronic systems that support our AI-driven manufacturing solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge automation technologies from concept to deployment. What You'll Do: - You will design and prototype mechatronic systems that integrate sensors, actuators, and control electronics. - You will develop and test embedded software to ensure seamless hardware-software interaction. - You will collaborate with AI researchers and software engineers to implement real-time data acquisition and control. - You will troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to improve reliability and performance. - You will participate in the selection and integration of off-the-shelf components to accelerate development. - You will document designs, test procedures, and system specifications clearly and thoroughly. - You will support the deployment and maintenance of mechatronic solutions in manufacturing environments. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in mechatronics design, embedded systems, or automation engineering. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and embedded programming languages (e.g., C/C++). - Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and control systems. - Experience with hardware integration and troubleshooting in industrial settings. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with AI or machine learning systems in manufacturing. - Knowledge of robotics and automation frameworks. - Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems. - Prior experience in a startup or agile development environment.
