About Us: We are an emerging technology company building next-generation robotic solutions for garden and outdoor living—starting with robotic lawn mowers and pool robots. As we scale up our product testing and market readiness, we’re looking for a Field Test & Product Validation Specialist to lead testing efforts and bridge the gap between real-world use and engineering refinement. What You’ll Do: • Conduct hands-on field testing of robotic pool cleaners and robotic lawn mowers in real-world environments. • Coordinate with beta testers, guide them through setup and usage, collect structured feedback, and document usability issues. • Serve as the primary liaison between testers and the internal engineering team, ensuring timely escalation and clear communication of issues. • Diagnose and report firmware bugs, hardware issues, and design flaws based on testing and user reports. • Assist in reproducing and isolating bugs; work closely with firmware engineers on logs, edge case behaviors, and performance tracking. • Track test metrics and maintain organized logs for issue tracking, feedback trends, and user experience summaries. • Provide actionable feedback to improve product usability, durability, and overall customer satisfaction. Who You Are: • 2+ years of experience in hardware field testing, QA, beta program coordination, or consumer electronics testing. • Hands-on knowledge of robotic products, such as robotic pool cleaners, robotic mowers, vacuum robots, or smart home devices. • Comfortable identifying technical issues related to firmware behavior, sensors, connectivity, and mechanical performance. • Strong communicator able to work between technical and non-technical audiences. • Organized, methodical, and confident working in semi-structured, fast-paced startup environments. • Willing to travel to testing sites or customer homes occasionally if needed (travel expenses covered). Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience working on robotic consumer devices or customer electronics • Familiarity with log file review, firmware update workflows, or bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) • Experience working with beta testing communities or managing user feedback loops • Basic understanding of embedded systems or mechatronics (a plus, not required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
