Internet Sales Manager Automotive Experience as an Internet Sales Manager /Desk Manager Mandatory . . . Do Not Apply if this requirement is not met. Job Purpose Primarily responsible for the Internet department and managing the Internet leads/sales force in order to meet the dealership’s budget for gross profit, volume sales goals and customer satisfaction standards. Accomplishes this through the “direct management” of the sales staff and by providing the first level of internet sales personnel management. The Internet Sales Director reports directly to the General Sales Manager and the General Manager. Job Description • Direct supervision of Internet Sales Personnel across both New and Pre-Owned departments. • The ideal candidate is a strong leader and problem solver with a proven ability to close deals and turn prospects into buyers at a high rate. • Monitoring and improving lead follow-up processes to maximize conversion rates. • Providing first-level management support and coaching to the sales team. • Ensuring timely and professional responses to all online and phone inquiries. • Driving performance through effective communication, appointment setting, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Skills & Qualifications • Leadership: Ability to motivate and guide the Internet Sales Team while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. • Patience: Capable of handling interactions with confused or irate customers and salespeople professionally and calmly. • Problem-Solving: Skilled at resolving customer issues, often without direct access to the problem, using effective communication and critical thinking. • Industry Knowledge: Must be experienced in Internet Sales Management and/or high-volume sales production, with a strong understanding of current online sales practices and techniques. • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers and digital tools to manage leads and sales processes. • Requirements: Valid driver’s license, willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
