About the Role Maleda Tech is seeking a Senior Community Engagement Manager to serve as the primary bridge between a leading hospitality platform and its host community. In this pivotal role, you'll drive community growth, engagement, and business impact through strategic program management and stakeholder coordination. As the community champion, you'll coordinate cross-functional initiatives, lead growth projects, and develop programs that foster a vibrant and engaged host ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Community Growth Recruit, onboard, and manage new Community Leaders and launch Host Clubs Develop strategies to grow host representation and participation in community programs Test and implement new methods for connecting hosts across territories Identify and nurture potential community leaders to expand the network Community Engagement Design effective initiatives and content strategies to drive host engagement in community programs and foster meaningful conversation Serve as the primary point of contact and coach for local Community Leaders—advising, coaching, remediating issues, and replacing inactive leaders when necessary Support global community engagement programming with adaptations for local language and cultural needs Educate Community Leaders on significant product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to relevant internal stakeholders Organize and lead impactful community events, both online and in-person Community Impact Support the development, execution, and scale of in-market pilots that leverage community programs to drive host success and accelerate business goals Develop resources, engaging communications, and training materials for cross-functional business partners Work with regional stakeholders to help them leverage and collaborate with the host community Influence regional prioritization, process improvement, and program feedback Build deep knowledge of assigned geographic markets to become the go-to source for host community insights relating to local needs, trends, and market dynamics Qualifications Required Experience 5-8+ years of experience in Community Management (experience with community events, online engagement, or distributed communities is highly valuable) Proven track record scaling communities while maintaining high engagement Strong project management skills with experience leading programs and processes Ability to approach community through a strategic business lens and align community goals with business objectives Experience managing volunteers in professional or personal settings (non-profit, community organizations) Essential Skills Entrepreneurial mindset with solution-oriented approach and growth mindset Highly autonomous and self-driven work style Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Effective cross-functional partner with ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building Excellent organization and prioritization abilities, especially in remote environments Ability to work with diverse individuals across cultural and generational differences Passion for the hospitality industry and creating meaningful host communities Key Details Position Type: Contract (two positions available: 12-month duration and 8-month duration) Level: Senior Location: Remote within the US Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week) Start Date: January 5, 2026 Pay Rate Range: $35-40/hour This role requires someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, can navigate diverse perspectives with grace, and is passionate about building thriving communities in the hospitality space. Each manager will oversee 30-35 community clubs with approximately 1,000-2,000 members each, working primarily with volunteer leaders who drive day-to-day community engagement.
