Location: Remote-friendly; preference for EST, open to PST About the Team: The Cities team is a cross-functional organization that partners with guests, hosts, and local governments to ensure successful outcomes across our client's global operations. Within this team, Services and Experiences are emerging verticals that elevate the guest journey—offering curated services and authentic local experiences that make every stay unforgettable. About the Role: As a Compliance Operations Manager, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling the regulatory infrastructure for Services and Experiences. You'll own critical compliance workflows, drive cross-functional execution, and serve as the operational backbone connecting Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering teams. This role requires equal parts analytical rigor and operational agility. You'll manage the end-to-end compliance funnel, build data-driven reporting systems, and ensure regulatory requirements are met without compromising the host or guest experience. Your work will directly enable growth while maintaining trust and safety across our marketplace. What You'll Do: • Own compliance operations: Develop, execute, and scale processes to collect, verify, and maintain regulatory requirements across multiple geographies and business categories • Drive data-driven insights: Analyze compliance data using SQL and BI tools to identify trends, surface risks, and inform strategic decisions • Build reporting infrastructure: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated workflows that track compliance metrics and support regulatory audits • Enable cross-functional delivery: Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy teams to implement scalable, automated compliance solutions • Monitor program health: Track key deliverables and milestones, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership • Champion the host experience: Ensure regulatory changes and compliance initiatives consider marketplace dynamics and host needs • Manage escalations: Triage and resolve complex inquiries, incidents, and issues related to regulatory products and services • Quality assurance: Validate and QA data pipelines, workflows, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and reliability What You'll Bring: • 5+ years in compliance operations, legal operations, program management, or data analytics—ideally in regulated, fast-moving environments • Demonstrated experience launching and scaling compliance programs; comfort working with large, complex datasets • Strong technical skills: Proficiency in SQL and dashboard/BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) • Exceptional stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence and drive results across matrixed organizations without direct authority • Clear communication: Ability to translate regulatory requirements and business needs into actionable operational plans and data solutions • Operational excellence: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities • Adaptable and entrepreneurial: Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership of outcomes • Values alignment: Commitment to our client's mission and ethical standards Bonus Points For: • Experience with AI-enabled compliance or legal operations tools • Background in marketplace, platform, or two-sided network businesses • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in hospitality, travel, or experiences industries
