About the Role Maleda Tech is seeking a Benefits and Leave Operations Manager to support our client, a leading SaaS company. This role will handle leave escalations and implement projects aimed at elevating the overall employee experience while optimizing efficiency of current leave programs and associated benefits operations. You'll take an AI-first approach to benefits administration, focusing on process automation, technology implementation, systems integration, re-designing ways-of-working, operations team enablement, and vendor reviews. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate current processes and employee experience, understand pain points, identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions Analyze current administration processes with People Services and Payroll teams to identify and implement improvements Evaluate effectiveness of technology solutions (including data feeds) used in current leave administration process Engage with vendors on leave program operations to identify efficiencies, integrations, and SLA changes Evaluate existing leave administration processes for compliance and consistency Serve as an escalation point for leave management related issues, raising unresolved issues to HR leadership and/or vendors Maintain confidentiality of employee communications and medical documentation while ensuring data accuracy and integrity Create and maintain accurate tracking of key metrics, reporting on leaves, trends, and escalations Develop understanding of benefits available to employees on leave and any financial responsibilities they incur Implement other company-related leave and time-off projects as assigned Qualifications 7+ years of professional experience in Benefits or Human Resources Knowledge of global statutory leave/benefits requirements and government regulations (EEOC, ADA, HIPAA, GDPR) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal interaction skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience managing vendor relationships, particularly with leave, disability, and accommodations administration Strong attention to detail and cultural awareness Proficiency in process design Proficiency in HRIS (Workday) and benefits administration software Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment Strong growth mindset and learning agility Creative approach towards problem solving Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field OR equivalent experience and practical knowledge Key Details Location: Remote (US-based), preference - Greater Madison area Start Date: ASAP Duration: Through July 3, 2026 Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 5 days/week Pay Rate Range: $50-$55 per hour Employment Type: Contract
