Job Description: Senior Boomi Integration Engineer Location: Remote (USA) Experience Required: 10+ years Primary Focus: Atom migration (on-prem → cloud), integration development, and ongoing support About the Role We are looking for a Senior Dell Boomi Integration Engineer who will lead the migration of our client’s on-premise Boomi Atom to a cloud-hosted environment and provide ongoing hands-on support for all integrations. This role requires a strong understanding of Boomi Atoms, connectors, integration design, deployment, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with cloud engineers and a project manager but will own the end-to-end Boomi technical work. Key Responsibilities 1. Boomi Atom Cloud Migration • Lead the migration of an existing on-premise Boomi Atom to cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Configure and deploy Atom/AtomSphere components in cloud environments. • Collaborate with cloud engineers to set up VMs, networking, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity. • Reconfigure connectors, endpoints, and integrations for the new cloud-hosted Atom. • Manage migration cutover activities and validate system stability post-migration. 2. Integration Development & Enhancements • Develop, enhance, and maintain Boomi processes, integrations, and workflows. • Work on mappings, transformations, connector configuration (REST, SOAP, DB, SFTP, ERP, etc.). • Apply Boomi best practices in process optimization, retry logic, error handling, and logging. 3. Operations & Support • Provide L2/L3 support for all integration issues, failures, and enhancements. • Monitor Atom health, schedules, certificates, and connection stability. • Troubleshoot failed processes and drive root-cause analysis. • Assist business users and application owners with integration needs. 4. Testing & Quality Assurance • Support unit testing, system testing, and UAT cycles. • Build test cases and ensure all integrations run successfully after migration. • Participate in smoke testing after deployments. 5. Documentation & Governance • Create and maintain technical documentation for integrations, mappings, credentials, and configurations. • Follow deployment, versioning, and change management standards. • Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams post-migration. Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Dell Boomi (Integration, AtomSphere). • Proven track record in Boomi Atom deployment and cloud-hosted Atom migrations. • Strong experience with: • Boomi process development • API and Web Services (REST/SOAP) • Database integrations (SQL/NoSQL) • SFTP/File integrations • Connector setup & configuration • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)—enough to collaborate with cloud engineers. • Experience with logging, alerting, and monitoring tools. • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and provide permanent fixes. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
