Full Time live-out Nanny/House Manager required for a Dumbo family with an infant son (b. July 2025), starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing support with all child related duties and interacting with their son in an engaging, loving and age-appropriate way while also providing the family with general household support when Mom is with her son. To be successful, you will need to be experienced with infant and young toddler care and look to partner long term with a hands-on and present SAHM. The ideal candidate is calm, able to complete general household duties independently (laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state (family does have a weekly housekeeper for deep cleans). Candidates looking for a team oriented dynamic with first time parents would be a great match for this family! A warm, playful and interactive nanny with education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth, development and educational approaches is key to this role. Location: Dumbo, Brooklyn, NY Start date: ASAP Days/times: 4 days per week (Monday through Friday): guaranteed 40 hours a week with general hours expected to land between 8am to 6pm (family open to consistent 50 hrs a week with additional daytime, mid week evening, and weekend support). Exact schedule can be discussed with family. Candidates comfortable traveling with the family for vacations would be ideal. Children: One infant son (born July 2025) Conditions: $35 - $40 per hour* plus unlimited monthly metro card, sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. • dependent on experience For further consideration, applicants must possess the following: • An ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years experience working with families with young children (with long term tenure) • A well-suited demeanor + recent experience working with infants and young toddlers • Fluent in both written and spoken English - additional languages (Spanish or Mandarin) preferred but not required • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence • Experience in partnering + supporting first time parents with infant and toddler milestones (ideally with a SAHM) • A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy household • Comfortable with pets - family has a 45lb Lab/Shepherd mix. Light dog walking and duties expected. The family has a dogwalker who takes the dog out once a day.
