SUMMARY The Director of Technical Operations plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and accuracy of the company's operational systems and data. While Department Directors focus on execution, the Director of Technical Operations is responsible for the underlying structure and integrity of our technical and operational platforms. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Owning the master operational systems, ensuring that the logic and data flows are sound and that the data structures are correctly configured. * Auditing data across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. They are the gatekeepers of our operational data, making sure that updates are entered correctly and do not corrupt the integrity of our systems. * Monitoring the company's operational performance against established baselines. They identify and analyze variances, providing insights into operational challenges and their impact. * Assisting in the preparation of reports and dashboards. They ensure that the data flowing from our systems (e.g., Smartsheet to Snowflake to Tableau) is accurate and provides a true reflection of our operational status. * Continuously improving the technical operations processes, including the tools and templates used for operational management and reporting. Operational Standards & Process Improvement * Drive systemic process establishment by mapping and analysis to identify and implement efficiencies, reduce waste, and standardize workflows for end-to-end network deployment and maintenance. * Develop a structured approach to implementing new processes and technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption across the organization (Change Management). * Evolve inter-departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or operational charters to define clear hand-off points, roles, and responsibilities between operational groups. Key Performance Initiatives: The successful candidate will be immediately responsible for driving the following high-priority initiatives: * Technical Operations & System Oversight: Oversee the Technical Operations team and systems, focusing squarely on establishing and managing Construction and operational timelines and data accuracy. * Operational Workflow Standardization: Utilize process mapping and analysis to standardize workflows for end-to-end network deployment and maintenance. * Establishment of Core Performance Metrics: Develop measurement tools (KPIs, dashboards) to set and enforce standards across all operational groups. * Inter-Departmental Alignment: Act as a central coordinator to foster structural alignment and effective collaboration between operational departments. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Excellent strategic leadership, communication, and coordination skills, capable of ensuring structural alignment across diverse operational teams. * Strong understanding of FTTH construction and managing large-scale infrastructure projects. * Proven expertise in technical operations, systems management, and process improvement frameworks. * Demonstrated experience in developing and managing KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting Mainstream Fiber Networks reserves the right to modify, interpret, or apply this job description in any way the organization desires.
