As a Senior Client Strategist at Magneti, you’ll help ambitious B2B companies set a strong marketing direction and guide the work that brings that direction to life. You’ll connect business goals with buyer insight, turn early ideas into actionable plans, and partner with our team as programs move into market. This role fits someone who enjoys both the thinking and the doing — someone who sees the big picture, understands the details, and knows how to help clients make choices that push their marketing forward. You’ll lead high-impact conversations, keep the work on track, and ensure that what we deliver ties back to each client’s goals. About the Role Reporting to our Managing Director, you’ll serve as the strategic lead for a set of B2B client accounts. Your job is to help clients focus their marketing, set direction they trust, and keep the work moving toward their goals. You’ll take what you hear from clients — objectives, concerns, early ideas — and turn it into plans our team can put into practice. You won’t carry every task yourself, but you should know how the pieces fit together. You’ll partner with specialists across content, brand, demand generation, and paid media to build programs that fit each client’s needs. When decisions stall or priorities shift, you’ll reset expectations and guide the work in a steady, focused direction. At your best, you’ll be a trusted advisor to clients and a reliable partner for our internal teams. You’ll bring good judgment, focus, and direction to work that has many moving parts. 90-Day Onboarding Journey Your first 90 days will help you settle in and get a feel for how we work. During this time, you will: Learn how we run projects and communicate with clients Get to know our team and your initial client partners Understand our delivery processes and tools Begin contributing to strategic plans and spotting opportunities Develop your own approach to how you guide client direction Core Responsibilities Lead Client Strategy (40%) You’ll lead the conversations that define how clients use marketing to reach their goals. You’ll help them sort their priorities, get to the root of the challenge, and make decisions they trust. You’ll bring a clear point of view to each discussion, lay out the options in front of them, and keep their attention on the direction that supports their business. When ideas compete or priorities shift, you’ll steady the conversation and guide clients toward choices that move their marketing forward with purpose. Guide Project Leadership & Delivery (25%) You’ll keep the work organized and moving. You’ll set the pace for each project, spell out who’s doing what and when, and help the team stay aligned as plans shift. You’ll spot issues early, adjust scope or timelines when needed, and keep expectations straightforward for both clients and the team. You’ll work closely with specialists to ship strong marketing on schedule and step in with direction when decisions are stuck or the work starts to drift. Support Account Growth & Performance (15%) You’ll monitor how each program is performing and help clients stay anchored to the results that tie back to their goals. You’ll point out where their marketing can work harder, call attention to issues worth fixing, and lead conversations that keep spend, priorities, and outcomes aligned. You’ll review key metrics with clients, explain what they mean in plain language, and help them choose where to focus their time and budget next. Roll Up Your Sleeves When Needed (10%) You won’t handle the day-to-day work, but you should know how things get done and be ready to step in when the team needs support. You’ll help unblock campaigns, review work that’s spinning, or offer hands-on guidance when something isn’t landing. In these moments, your job is to steady the effort, reset what’s expected, and help the team keep the work moving. Contribute to Team Leadership & Collaboration (10%) You’ll help improve how we work together. You’ll share what you’re seeing across your accounts, spot patterns worth addressing, and support teammates when they need direction or feedback. You’ll mentor junior staff, bring perspective to how we run client work, and play an active role in keeping our team aligned and engaged. Other Responsibilities We’re a collaborative team, so you may jump in on other projects and work when it helps support the team. Required Skills and Competencies Marketing and Strategy Skills You should have experience guiding marketing in areas like: Leading B2B marketing strategies across channels Understanding the core pieces of digital marketing: SEO, paid media, content, and demand generation Reading data with a point of view and explaining what it means Working with tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, and marketing automation platforms Running integrated B2B programs from strategy through execution Client Leadership & Decision-Making You should be strong in areas like: Leading B2B client relationships with director-level and senior stakeholders Turning complex business issues into direction clients can act on Running strategic conversations with confidence and good judgment Knowing when to push for a stronger approach and when to adjust Helping clients and internal teams choose the next right move Business & Agency Acumen You should bring experience such as: 7+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years in an agency environment Managing budgets, scopes, resources, and the realities of agency work Running multiple client accounts at once Balancing business goals with team capacity and timelines Working with tech companies, SaaS, or professional services (preferred, not required) Tools & Technology You should be comfortable working with: LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and other ad platforms Google Analytics, Databox, or similar reporting tools HubSpot or other marketing automation systems Teamwork, Asana, or similar project management tools Google Workspace and Slack for collaboration Experience with these tools helps, but we care more about how you think and how quickly you learn.
