Minimum 3 years sales experience in packaging industry with knowledge of converting and printing, proven sales growth in pharmaceutical/healthcare sectors, and ability to work independently.
Position Outline Join a growing company with a sales position in the packaging industry, focusing on sales into the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Experience in the packaging industry is a requirement. This role is open to candidates across the US, with regional responsibilities based on location. Duties and Responsibilities • Grow sales to existing customers to meet budget commitments. • Continuously prospect and cold call new potential customers and identify key decision makers. • Maintain and deepen professional relationships with existing customers, add influencers and allies throughout customers’ organisations. • Manage existing customer contracts to achieve sales targets, negotiate new contracts, and renew existing contracts when due. • Continuously analyse customer portfolio and monitor key metrics like sales vs. budget, sales vs. previous year, and bookings. • Develop account development and territory business plans; track actions and meet deadlines. • Travel as required throughout the Territory, visiting current and prospective customers. • Participate in industry events, trade shows, supplier summits, etc. as required. Required skills and qualifications • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the packaging industry – experience selling standup pouches, laminated structures and/or labels is a strong asset. • Good understanding of converting and printing techniques. • Proven track record selling into the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors. • Proven track record of sales growth and customer retention. • Experienced in new customer acquisition and new business development. • Self-motivated and able to operate independently, continuously demonstrating initiative and drive.
