Bachelor’s degree preferred, 3+ years satellite or cellular sales experience preferred, strong math and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, valid driver’s license, and ability to work onsite.

Mackay’s Satellite Communications Sales Division currently has a full time onsite opening for an experienced Inside Salesperson in our Raleigh, NC location. Inside Salesperson Job Summary The Inside Salesperson is responsible for delivering sales and any associated airtime for a variety of satellite equipment. The products range from simple SCADA devises to large vessel communication systems. Additional Responsibilities Include • Develop knowledge of the satcom products, services, systems, and applications sold by Mackay. This includes a rudimentary knowledge of IP networking and high-level firewall functionality. • Provide presales technical support to internal Mackay customers and external customers who use hardware products and network services provided by Mackay. These products and systems include Satcom terminals, and the peripherals used to support those terminals. • Understand the communications service agreements offered by Mackay to its customers and be comfortable articulating the benefits of each. • Produce Customer Proposals and reply to RFQ’s/RFP’s • Generate customer facing product sheets branded as Mackay from vendor product sheets. • Generate proposals with awareness of minimum margin requirements. • Guide customers with advice to help them define and configure optimal operating parameters for their solutions. Including: • Monitoring performance of networks and individual devices. • Defining alerts and distribution lists for warnings. • Assisting with remote management of devices in the field. • Have familiarity with the management tools available to support customer’s networking requirements. • Coordinate, schedule and assign, demo equipment in partnership with the Sales team. • Develop and review technical proposals to integrate communications products and systems sold by Mackay Communications. • Understand and help update the business processes used by Mackay. • Quote generation • Use of ticket system • Vendor purchase requests • Shipping and Logistics Inside Salesperson Requirements The Inside Sales position is a great opportunity to learn about a new expanding market. Additional Requirements Include • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Working onsite. • Highly self-motivated. • Working knowledge of Computer Systems and Router applications. • 3 + years satellite or cellular sales experience preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to work independently with little to moderate supervision. • Valid driver’s license.
