Role Overview: As a Payroll Manager at MacDonald-Miller, you will oversee the entire payroll process ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will play a critical role in managing payroll operations, collaborating with HR and finance teams, and supporting employee satisfaction through efficient payroll management. What You'll Do: - You will manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees across multiple locations. - You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws. - You will collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records and resolve payroll discrepancies. - You will prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings on time. - You will lead payroll audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. - You will manage payroll software systems and coordinate with IT for system upgrades. - You will provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. - You will train and supervise payroll staff to maintain high performance standards. What You Bring: - You have 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. - You possess strong knowledge of payroll software such as ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms. - You have a solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements. - You demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - You have experience managing a team and leading process improvements. - You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the construction or mechanical contracting industry. - Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). - Familiarity with HRIS systems and integration with payroll. - Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis.
