Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s cash flow. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team to enhance overall operational efficiency. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. - You will prepare and maintain accurate records of collections and account statuses. - You will assist in the monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable balances. - You will generate reports on collection activities and outstanding balances for management review. - You will support the finance team in improving collection strategies and processes. - You will maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage customer relationships. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of HVAC service contracts and preventative maintenance billing. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
