Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s cash flow. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team to enhance overall operational efficiency. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely collections. - You will reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in billing or payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to verify contract terms and billing accuracy. - You will prepare and maintain detailed reports on collection status and account activity. - You will assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will communicate professionally with customers to address payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary. - You will support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong understanding of billing processes and contract terms related to service and maintenance agreements. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
