Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s cash flow. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team to enhance overall operational efficiency. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. - You will prepare and maintain accurate records of collections and account statuses. - You will assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will generate reports on collection activities and outstanding balances for management review. - You will support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts receivable function. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in the service or facilities management industry. - You possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - You are proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage customer relationships. - You demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Familiarity with HVAC or mechanical contracting industry billing practices. - Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and improve collection strategies. - Prior experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
