Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist - Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections Company Overview: MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is the Northwest’s leading mechanical contracting firm, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and automation system solutions for commercial buildings. Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s cash flow. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collections and maintaining strong client relationships to support the financial health of the organization. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. - You will prepare and maintain accurate records of collections and account statuses. - You will generate reports on receivables and collections performance for management review. - You will assist in the development and implementation of improved collection strategies. - You will communicate professionally with clients to maintain positive relationships and encourage prompt payment. - You will support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - You bring strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - You bring proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - You bring excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client interactions. - You bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple accounts efficiently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with mechanical contracting or facility solutions industries. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of preventative maintenance contract billing. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
