Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s receivables. Your efforts will ensure timely collections, maintain strong client relationships, and support the financial health of MacDonald-Miller. What You'll Do: - You will manage and process accounts receivable transactions related to service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts to identify and resolve payment issues promptly. - You will communicate professionally with clients to ensure timely collections and address any billing inquiries. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. - You will prepare and maintain accurate records of collections and account statuses. - You will assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance collection processes. - You will provide regular reports on accounts receivable status to management. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client interactions. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with mechanical contracting or facilities services industries. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or automation service contracts. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
