Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s receivables. Your efforts will ensure timely collections, maintain strong client relationships, and support the financial health of MacDonald-Miller. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts to identify and resolve outstanding invoices. - You will communicate professionally with clients to facilitate timely payments and resolve billing discrepancies. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure accurate billing and contract compliance. - You will prepare and maintain detailed reports on collections status and aging accounts. - You will assist in the development and implementation of improved collection strategies. - You will support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit requirements. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - You have strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - You are proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage client relationships effectively. - You demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - You are capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of preventative maintenance contract structures and billing. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
