Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s receivables. Your efforts will ensure timely collections, maintain strong client relationships, and support the financial health of the organization. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies. - You will maintain accurate records of all collections activities and update the accounting system accordingly. - You will prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management review. - You will assist in the development and implementation of improved collection strategies. - You will communicate professionally with clients to address payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary. - You will support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Previous experience handling service and preventative maintenance contract collections. - Certification in accounting or finance-related fields.
