Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s receivables. Your efforts will ensure timely collections, maintain strong client relationships, and support the financial health of the organization. What You'll Do: - You will manage and process accounts receivable for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will follow up on overdue invoices and work with clients to resolve payment issues. - You will maintain accurate records of all collections activities and customer communications. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure billing accuracy. - You will prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and collections performance. - You will assist in the development and implementation of improved collection processes. - You will handle customer inquiries professionally and provide excellent service. - You will support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Prior experience working in a fast-paced, multi-office environment. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
