Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s receivables. Your efforts will ensure timely collections, maintain strong client relationships, and support the financial health of the organization. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments. - You will communicate professionally with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and answer payment inquiries. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to verify contract terms and billing accuracy. - You will maintain accurate records of collections activities and update the accounting system accordingly. - You will assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will identify and recommend process improvements to enhance collection efficiency. - You will support audit and compliance requirements by providing necessary documentation. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage client interactions. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the mechanical contracting or facilities services industry. - Knowledge of contract terms related to service and preventative maintenance agreements. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
