Role Overview: As an Accounts Receivable Specialist focused on Service & Preventative Maintenance Collections, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s cash flow. You will be responsible for ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance team to enhance overall financial performance. What You'll Do: - You will manage accounts receivable processes specifically for service and preventative maintenance contracts. - You will monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue invoices to ensure timely payments. - You will collaborate with the sales and service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries. - You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities. - You will prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and collections performance. - You will assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. - You will support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline collections processes. - You will communicate professionally with customers to maintain positive relationships. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a service-oriented industry. - You have strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes. - You are proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. - You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - You are able to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with mechanical contracting or construction industry billing. - Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. - Knowledge of preventative maintenance service contracts. - Additional certifications in accounting or finance.
