Company Description Mabel’s Foods is a USDA-certified food manufacturing company based in Hallandale Beach, FL, specializing in high-quality Latin prepared foods for retail, foodservice, and private label programs. With a focus on authentic flavors, consistency, and operational excellence, Mabel’s Foods produces a wide range of ready-to-heat products — including pork belly, ribs, croquettes, empanadas, and prepared Latin dishes — serving distributors, restaurant groups, and national clients across the U.S. Our facility operates under strict USDA and SQF guidelines, ensuring top-tier safety, quality, and traceability. As a fast-growing company, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing processes to bring innovative Latin food solutions to the market. ⸻ Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Hallandale Beach, FL facility. The Operations Manager will oversee end-to-end daily operational activities within a USDA environment, ensuring efficient production, strong team alignment, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Managing production schedules and shift planning • Supervising operational teams across prep, cooking, packaging, and logistics • Coordinating raw material flow, inventory accuracy, and batch traceability • Optimizing workflows to increase yield, reduce waste, and improve throughput • Monitoring budgets, labor costs, ingredient usage, and equipment utilization • Ensuring compliance with USDA, HACCP, and internal quality standards • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across departments • Collaborating with leadership on capacity planning and strategic operations goals The Operations Manager will play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth, improving operational performance, and delivering consistent, high-quality products. ⸻ Qualifications • Strong leadership and team management skills, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment • Ability to analyze operational performance and implement process improvements • Experience with budget management, cost control, and resource optimization • Understanding of USDA, HACCP, food safety protocols, or willingness to learn quickly • Proficiency with productivity and operations management tools (ERP, scheduling tools, digital logs, etc.) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field • Previous experience in the food industry or a USDA-regulated facility is a strong plus
