Job Description M&S Magical Stars Daycare and Learning Center Inc. is seeking an Education Coach for our preschool. This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted in early childhood education and childcare services to families we serve. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation. Primary Responsibilities: • Understands and has strong working knowledge of M&S Magical Stars curriculum • Passionately believes in and can communicate all aspects of the M&S Magical Stars approach to teaching and learning • Participates in the selection and hiring of teaching staff • Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team to implement the training plan for new teaching staff according to classroom-specific continual learning • Ensures teacher training requirements are up to date • Conducts classroom observations to regularly support and ensure learning curriculum implementation and delivery • Collaborates with other members of the Leadership Team to provide ongoing feedback for teaching staff, using a variety of tools such as Classroom Observation Forms and Teacher Evaluations • Works with teachers to identify strengths and areas of opportunity to design plans for continual improvement • Creates a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves • Strong classroom management and organizational skills • Schedule and facilitate monthly staff meetings. • Oversee all office functions including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tuition billing and payment, human resources, and personnel management (staff supervision) and purchasing. • Resolve conflicts (including corrective action when necessary) to ensure a positive experience for everyone. • Develop general educational curriculum; collaborate with staff to develop positive learning activities; manage adherence to state and local regulations. • Maintain student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines. • Maintain communications with parents of current and prospective students through direct conversation, newsletters, and parent handbook; implement community outreach activities to maintain and promote positive community relationships. • Approve menus and food purchases. Desired skills and experience: • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field • A minimum of two years teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program • Must meet state licensing and M&S Magical Stars training requirements • Ability to provide constructive feedback and advice to others • Solution and detail-oriented • Strong organizational skills • Coachable and able to coach • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. • 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting. • High energy. • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced work environment. • Strong oral and written communications skills and technology skills. • Expert soft skills: ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. • A strong understanding of child development. • Strong finance and budgeting skills. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. • Must clear full background check. • Must pass health and drug screening.
