As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a dynamic Shopify-first Ecommerce Marketing Director to take our digital presence to the next level by hitting key sales metrics and driving reach across digital channels. Role Overview The Ecommerce Marketing Director will lead the strategy and execution of all digital marketing efforts to drive traffic, grow conversions, and build brand awareness. This role is both strategic and hands-on, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll own the customer journey from awareness to retention, using data, creativity, and storytelling to strengthen Lyons Leather Co.’s position in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities • Strategize, own and directly execute all paid ads with expertise in Meta & Google platforms (not using an Agency). • Strategize, own and directly execute all email campaigns, AB testing and flows in Klaviyo (not using an Agency). • Own and strategize CRO, AB testing and site optimization with contracted agency. • Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce marketing strategy to drive growth and profitability. • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources across channels to maximize ROI. • Partner with the Founder to shape the brand’s voice while growing customer engagement and meeting determined quarterly KPIs. Digital Marketing • Directly manage paid and organic social, email, SMS, influencer, rewards and affiliate programs. • Own and optimize advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest, and emerging platforms (not using an agency). • Develop influencer and brand partnerships to grow awareness and engagement. • Third party agency and contractor management where needed. Ecommerce Management • Drive site traffic and improve conversion rates through CRO (conversion rate optimization). • Execute and manage Shopify site promotions, product page launches, merchandising, and onsite marketing. • App management, recurring auditing and analytics. • Ensure product launches and campaigns are executed seamlessly online. Analytics & Insights • Monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and provide actionable insights. • Use data-driven decision making to test, learn, and scale strategies. • Build reporting dashboards to track KPIs across channels. • Harness community feedback and sales data to inform product design and inventory projections. Retention & Community • Lead customer retention efforts through email, SMS, and loyalty strategies. • Build brand community through storytelling and content marketing. • Enhance customer lifetime value and strengthen brand loyalty. Qualifications • 5–8 years of experience in digital marketing/ecommerce, ideally in consumer goods, fashion, or accessories. • Proven track record of directly scaling ecommerce revenue through paid, owned, and earned channels (not using an agency) • Expert knowledge of Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and Meta and Google paid media platforms. • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to turn data into actionable insights. • Creative thinker with strong brand storytelling ability. • Leadership skills with a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit. • Passion for small business growth and for our products.
