Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including dump trucks, and possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations. This role involves transporting materials safely and efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with experience in truck driving, route driving, load & unload operations, and operating specialized equipment such as forklifts are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities • Operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks. • Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. • Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. • Transport materials to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. • Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly. • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details. • Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road and at job sites. • Assist with the loading or unloading process when required, ensuring proper handling of freight. Qualifications • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and other specialized vehicles. • Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred. • Prior experience with freight delivery, route driving, or similar roles is highly desirable. • Knowledge of different truck types including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailer, forklift operation, and roll-off trucks is a plus. • Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. • Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently. • Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial trucking. • Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections regularly. • Good communication skills and reliability in following schedules.
