The firm has been a trailblazer in engineering and consulting for mission‑critical environments, offering creative and optimized solutions for data centers and other specialized facilities. The organization is known for shaping industry best practices and even contributing to the development of widely referenced data center standards. With deep expertise in site selection, due diligence, design engineering, commissioning, construction quality management, and energy optimization, the firm supports hyperscalers, emerging hyperscalers, cloud providers, and colocation operators through full lifecycle data center delivery. Its teams are highly trained, technology‑forward, and known for using adaptive problem‑solving approaches and advanced tools to deliver innovative results efficiently. Position Overview This opportunity allows you to lead large‑scale, highly technical mission‑critical programs, with a strong emphasis on hyperscale data center projects. You will join a well‑established, fully remote engineering team known for delivering complex infrastructure solutions nationwide. The role blends high‑level strategic oversight with active project leadership and thrives within a culture that values initiative, innovation, and deep technical expertise. What You'll Do • Lead major mission‑critical initiatives-particularly hyperscale data center projects-from concept through final closeout. • Oversee complete design and construction workflows, including resource planning, project meetings, QA/QC oversight, subconsultant coordination, and on‑site engagements. • Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, track margins, and oversee change orders. • Identify risks early, troubleshoot proactively, and maintain schedule alignment. • Act as the primary client contact, nurturing strong long‑term relationships and identifying opportunities for follow‑on work. • Mentor and support multidisciplinary teams, delegating responsibilities and ensuring seamless coordination across engineering disciplines. • Direct testing oversight, commissioning support, and final handoff with precision and attention to detail. What You Bring • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related technical field. • 8+ years of engineering or construction experience, with at least 4 years in project management. • Significant experience in mission‑critical design and construction administration, ideally with hyperscale data center exposure. • Extensive knowledge of MEP, fire protection, and fire alarm systems. • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships. • Proficiency with Procore, Revit or AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools. • Strong communication skills, including report writing, meeting leadership, and cross‑disciplinary coordination. • Solid understanding of safety requirements, compliance, and workflow optimization. • Interest in AI‑driven tools and processes that enhance project performance. • U.S. work authorization and willingness to travel up to 15 percent. What You'll Enjoy • 100 percent remote work in a virtual‑first, highly collaborative environment. • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus a 401(k) with employer match. • Generous PTO, paid parental leave, and strong work‑life flexibility support. • Annual innovation bonus program rewarding impactful ideas. • Professional development stipends and clear career advancement pathways.
