Lunar Outpost has multiple rover missions to the lunar surface and is dedicated to creating a permanent human presence in space, while driving a positive impact here on Earth. We are seeking an Operations Manager to help us create the future of lunar surface mobility in a fast-paced startup environment. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily business operations, improving workflows, managing logistics, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects. This includes work on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services (LTVS) program, creating the next lunar vehicle for astronauts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and eager to contribute to the overall success of the company and the realization of our mission to enable a sustainable human presence in space. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and support operational success • Support hiring, onboarding, team development initiatives, and other HR functions • Coordinate with senior leadership, various departments, and cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of Company business objectives • Partner with Accounting to ensure payroll, procurement, inventory, vendor relationships, and production run smoothly. While efficiently managing budgets, resources, and timelines to meet Company goals and objectives • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards and regulations • Serve as the key point of contact for office management, including IT, maintenance appointments, office deliveries and shipping, new hire office setup, and communicating announcements to employees • Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness and kitchen and office supplies, snacks, refreshments, and equipment Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in operations management • Excellent organization and time management skills and attention to detail • Have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management software • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively • Team-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills • This role requires in-office presence in Houston, Texas and the office address near the Clear Lake area will be shared at a later date Preferred Qualifications: • Experience within engineering or aerospace environments Any offer of employment for this position is conditional upon Lunar Outpost receiving the LTVS Phase II contract from NASA.
