Title: Senior Reading Literacy Assessment Manager Reports to: Senior Director, Operations Founded in 2002, Beyond Basics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to eradicate illiteracy, transforming the lives of students, and creating stronger communities. Our one-on-one, multisensory tutoring program helps students achieve grade-level proficiency in reading in an average of six weeks. In addition to our structured literacy interventions, we cultivate curiosity and encourage a love of lifelong learning with fine arts activities that expand horizons. The Senior Reading Literacy Assessment Manager is responsible for leading the team that provides process, project, and school support services. This individual is responsible for documenting and validating compliance with cross-functional service delivery processes. Additionally, this position will oversee the implementation of art and writing enrichment activities within the broader literacy curriculum. In supervising the School Support Services function, this Senior Manager will ensure all Beyond Basics program locations are equipped with appropriate supplies, and that we are efficiently managing procurement, inventory management and logistics to store and move supplies. There will be a quality and data component to the role that requires thorough project management documentation, reporting methods, and data analysis. This position will be instrumental in developing and/or enhancing internal processes and infrastructure that will allow Beyond Basics to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversee staff of Testers who administer reading Assessments to students throughout the state of Michigan. • Own and communicate the process for administering assessments. • Interview and select new hire Testers. • Oversee onboarding, training, and placement of Testers. • Approve timekeeping and expense reports. • Provide oversight to Assessment Quality Specialist. • Coach Testers on discrepancies found to ensure continuous learning and improvement. • Administer annual performance review process for Testers. • Maintain adequate assessment supplies and monitor distribution to Testers. • Ensure accurate prescriptions for all students (based on assessment results) • Proactively identify process improvements. • Monitor expenses to align with budget parameters. • Collaborate with Academic Office regarding prescription model and assessment methods. • Collaborate with Data to ensure accurate reporting. • Other as assigned by Senior Director, Operations. • Bachelor’s Degree in Education • Minimum eight years of experience in Education serving K-12 students. • Valid Michigan Teacher Certification • Minimum three years of experience supervising other teaching professionals. • Performance management experience including coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement. • Microsoft Office software proficiency including Word, Power Point, and Excel. • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision making. • Experience working in a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group. • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Valid Driver’s License and access to personal transportation for travel to school locations. • Medical • 401k • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Employee Assistance Program
