The Senior Lead Commercial Communications will lead external communications for Lumen’s Acceleration & Growth Team (AGT), helping to shape how the market sees our growth, partnerships, and momentum. This role plays a key part in connecting Lumen’s growth narrative to tangible business outcomes by driving awareness, credibility, and demand for our solutions. You’ll craft strategic communications that highlight how Lumen’s Connected Ecosystem of partners—spanning cloud, AI, data, and security—creates customer value and fuels enterprise transformation. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, growth marketing, connected ecosystem, sales enablement, and internal communications teams, you’ll translate complex ideas into compelling stories that build brand preference and support pipeline generation. The ideal candidate is both a strategist and an operator: creative in approach, disciplined in execution, and passionate about linking great storytelling to measurable business impact. The Main Responsibilities Tell Lumen’s growth story by developing and executing communications that positions Lumen as a customer-centric technology company and showcases how the company is accelerating enterprise transformation through its sales strategy and partner ecosystem. Shape and manage communications for major announcements, ecosystem partnerships, and customer milestones, from strategy through execution and measurement, to help differentiate Lumen in the marketplace. Collaborate with AGT leadership, growth marketing, connected ecosystem, sales enablement and internal communications to develop integrated communications strategies that drive earned media coverage, thought leadership, and digital content to raise awareness that helps support lead and demand generation. Develop high-impact content—press releases, executive talking points, op-eds, blogs, and social media posts--that engage business, technology, and financial audiences. Provide strategic counsel to business and marketing leaders on positioning, reputation, and storytelling opportunities. Track and analyze performance metrics to measure communications impact on brand perception, media engagement, and marketing pipeline goals. What We Look For in a Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Communications, Business, or a related field. Proven experience in sales enablement communications, preferably within a large B2B enterprise. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in financial or business communications, preferably in a technology company. Strong understanding of financial principles and sales enablement practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Finance, Communications, Business, or a related field. Experience working in a global organization, with a focus on B2B engagement. Knowledge of financial and business communications. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
