The Role The Privacy Compliance Manager is responsible for key components of Lumen’s privacy compliance program. This role is required to hold a CIPM IAPP Privacy Manager Certification. This role also serves as the privacy office lead for review of AI projects at the company, is responsible for preparing and publishing privacy data sheets within Lumen’s Trust Center and is the privacy office lead for Privacy by Design and Default and Privacy Engineering. Location This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. The Main Responsibilities Reviews and revises, as necessary, privacy assessment templates Conducts and reviews Privacy Threshold Assessments Conducts and reviews Privacy and Data Protection Impact Assessments. Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates privacy risks. Conducts data mapping and works with Lumen’s Data Governance team. Supports IT and Security teams on privacy by design issues. Assess/Manage Lumen’s Privacy Data Sheets by working with Product and other stakeholders. Assist with the review of AI Projects, to identify and evaluate privacy risks. Assist with the development of awareness and training materials for organizational education. What We Look For in a Candidate Required: 6-8+ years progressive experience in Privacy Management, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or comparable with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience. Experience with OneTrust or comparable privacy and security platforms with ability to quickly establish proficiency in unfamiliar systems. Familiarity with current privacy laws. Highly organized, diligent, and good at multitasking. Passion for problem-solving and the ability to find solutions to new questions. Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated; strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to process large amounts of often complex data. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, high visibility environment with frequently shifting priorities Flexible and positive with an ability to collaborate with individuals in alignment with the Lumen 8 cultural beliefs of Teamwork, Trust, Transparency, Clarity, Courage, Customer Obsession, Growth Mindset, and Respect. Must hold an active International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification. Preferred: Additional certifications beyond IAPP’s CIPM. Cybersecurity specific experience, education, certifications. Experience using OneTrust or comparable privacy platforms to integrate with external systems and support privacy management functions through data feeds. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
