The Role Provide guidance and design direction for strategic programs & product development impacting Lumen Planning, Engineering and Construction. Support teams following Business Architecture principles & aspects. Leverage Business Architecture model in developing an E2E blueprint of the enterprise that provides a common understanding of the organization and is used to align strategic objectives and tactical demands. Position will partner with (PEC) Planning, Engineering, Construction, Provisioning, Operations, and product development to introduce new system, technology, products or process functionality while partnering with Deploy and Support organizations to align current support capabilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to future state process flows, business requirements, business architecture model canvas, and other supporting documentation. The Main Responsibilities Ensuring that the implications of a new strategy are fully addressed and documented prior to launching the initiatives – following Business Architecture Model. Provide high level design of end to end processes and procedures for the development of new systems, technologies, products or process functionalities. Manage requirement definition for new product/process builds working jointly with many different business units. Drive the concept, definition, development, implementation and operation components for automating processes and procedures. Facilitating extremely complex, diverse and/or technical solutions for Lumen strategic plans. Developing and maintaining close working relationships with key stakeholders to understand evolving issues and requirements, understand upstream and downstream implications and dependencies, ensuring key solutions are executed and properly coordinated. Work closely across business units to implement necessary process changes that solve problems for all Lumen customers (internal and external). Additionally, knowledge of the products and services offered by Lumen is encouraged. Familiarity with Lumen systems / tools: Network Design System (NDS), Workflow Management Tool (WFMT), Fireworks / BidMaster (FWBM); Dispatch tools (WFA, NIBS, SS9, Oracle), CORE, ARMOR Familiarity with Lumen inventory tools / processes: Network Inventory Consolidation (NIC), OmniVue / ARM, TIRKS, Martens, LFACS, Switch, NCON Develop test use case scenarios Proven collaborative skills and using a team approach to accomplishing work. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work in a customer service oriented organization. Experience using Computer Systems and Windows-based applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and work flow and database software. Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills. Ability to motivate others, use good teamwork skills, including development of interdepartmental relationships and the ability to make complex decisions. Embraces change, inspires trust, and communicates in all directions and is a continuous learner. Ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations of design solutions and strategic roadmap. Preferred: PEC, Provisioning, Field Operations, Process, Systems or Business Architecture analysis experience and background Trained in Lean Principles (Five S’s, Waste Reduction, Error/Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, KAIZEN, JIT, Lead Time Reduction) Experienced in implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean/Six Sigma Education: BS or BA, or 2 - 5 years Process Analyst /Business Architecture Recent background in Telecommunications Industry Proven experience in developing Architecture standards, best practices, Guiding Principles, and Reference Architectures at an enterprise level Experienced in developing architectural patterns, documents, informational presentations and project management. Hands-on experience in managing and developing proof of concepts, and introduction of new technologies using standard architectural principles. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges: $103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
