CLICK HERE! The Role Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026. Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US. Work Authorization: US Work Authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made. The Main Responsibilities This intern will be aligned to our Enterprise Operations organization and will work with our Headroom Capacity Monitor, Report, and Augment of Ethernet & Optical Transport platforms as well as our Fiber Interconnects across all of our Metro Core East/West regions. This position manages the capacity of the Metropolitan area networks to the Long Haul Gateways of the Core Internet Network. Coordinating between our internal customers to meet the demands of our constantly evolving network environment. Prepare network augment plans and specifications, to include gathering field data Submit capacity and harvesting augments as necessary Comfortably creates complex network designs from limited raw sets of data Requires limited direction and guidance for completion of tasks Assures that the most feasible, practical and economical means to complete the work are utilized Supports acquisition and implementation of hardware as well as subcontractor services as needed What We Look For in a Candidate Required qualifications Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship. Graduating August 2026 – May 2028 Preferred fields include but not limited to: Engineering, Business, Information Technology Proficiency and understanding of: Encourages open communication and fosters a positive work environment Skilled in tactical planning and/or engineering Basic engineering background covering SONET, Ethernet & DWDM technologies Basic data/economic, analytical and problem-solving skills Detail oriented with an intense focus on quality Able to overcome various design complexities and challenges Exceptional organizational, prioritization, communication and time management skills Compensation Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
