Develop high-fidelity prototypes and core creative workspace features with polished execution focusing on user experience in a browser environment.
Expertise in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and ability to implement advanced browser features with strong product instincts and visual design sensibility.
The Environment Luma AI is where the rigors of a research lab meet the craft of a design studio. We have raised over $1.3 billion to solve the hardest problems in intelligence, yet our product engineering team remains small, elite, and highly autonomous. This is a unique environment where you have the leverage of a massive corporation with the individual impact of a founder. The Craft We are building the Dream Machine, a creative partner that expands human imagination. To succeed, this tool must feel like an extension of the artist's hand. We are looking for a builder who views code as a creative medium. You will work directly with our researchers and designers to forge the tools that millions of creators will use to generate video, audio, and immersive world experiences. The Work High-Fidelity Prototyping: You will work in a tight loop with design, rapidly translating concepts into interactive reality. You will prove what is possible in the browser, often influencing the direction of the underlying research. The Canvas of Imagination: You will build the core creative workspace, implementing custom controls, video timelines, and spatial interfaces that standard component libraries cannot support. Polished Execution: You will own the "feel." From the inertia of a drag-and-drop interaction to the loading state of a generative process, you will ensure every pixel and every millisecond serves the user experience. The Artisan Visual Obsession: You have a portfolio that proves your taste. You care as much about the easing curve of an animation as you do about the type safety of your codebase. Technical Depth: You are an expert in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS. You are comfortable reaching for WebGL or lower-level browser APIs when the standard DOM constraints hold you back. Product Instincts: You build with the end-user in mind. You have a history of shipping products that people love to look at and love to use.
