Manage and supervise the mentoring program including staff oversight, project management, and reporting.
Master’s degree preferred, 5 years experience with at-risk youth and families, 3 years staff supervision, knowledge in behavioral health and prevention, excellent communication and computer skills, valid driver’s license.
The Mentoring Coordinator works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Support (CES) Services. The Mentoring Coordinator manages and supervises LUK’s Mentoring program, which pairs youth with a positive volunteer adult mentors within Central Massachusetts. This position will supervise staff and be responsible for day to day project management and reporting requirements. The qualified candidate will have a Master’s Degree (preferred) in Human Services, Public Health, Social Work, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families, and 3 years of experience providing staff supervision. Knowledge of behavioral health, violence prevention/intervention, substance abuse prevention/intervention, positive youth development and cultural responsiveness preferred. Group facilitation and strong relationship-building skills required. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Experience in fundraising efforts preferred. Valid driver’s license and own transportation required. This is a full time position located in Central Massachusetts and will include community-based travel and implementation.
