Your Impact The Sr. Manager, Global Trade & Import Transportation leads Lowe's global origin transportation and import operations, ensuring compliant, reliable, and cost-effective movement of merchandise from overseas suppliers into North America. This role owns origin execution across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, supporting approximately 170,000 annual import containers and significant international transportation spend. The position establishes origin governance, manages supplier readiness and customs compliance, and oversees 3PL, brokerage, supply chain security, and Mexico cross-border operations. Operating in a highly dynamic trade environment, the role mitigates execution risk, protects ship windows, and maintains network velocity. The Sr. Manager leads a global transportation team and partners cross-functionally with Sourcing, Merchants, Inventory, Finance, Tax, and Compliance to enable scalable and resilient import operations. What You Will Do Own global origin transportation strategy and execution across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring service reliability, cost control, and regulatory compliance. Lead 3PL origin cargo management operations, including booking governance, consolidation strategy, routing guide adherence, and performance management. Establish and enforce origin governance, milestone controls, and PO lifecycle execution from supplier acceptance through cargo ready date. Set and enforce supplier performance standards, partnering with Sourcing and Merchants to address chronic non-compliance. Own customs brokerage strategy, contracts, and performance, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies. Lead international supply chain security programs, maintaining C-TPAT Tier III certification and mitigating trade and security risk. Oversee Mexico cross-border import operations, including customs execution, carrier performance, and vendor management. Own the supplier enablement and import network technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, visibility, and data integrity. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to labor actions, geopolitical events, port congestion, and network disruptions. Develop origin capacity and network resilience strategies to support volume volatility and sourcing shifts. Establish forecasting, KPI, and carrier scorecard frameworks to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Negotiate and govern contracts and SLAs with 3PLs, customs brokers, SaaS providers, and security partners. Serve as a senior advisor to Finance, Tax, and Compliance on trade, duty, and end-to-end landed cost impacts. Hire, lead, and develop a global transportation team aligned to scale, complexity, and future growth.
