Overview of the Role This role will be a key part of our sales and marketing team that interacts with our retail customers. The ideal candidate will help the team present new refrigeration solutions, help quote and calculate complex projects from refrigeration, mechanical and electrical standpoint and act as a knowledge resource for the team and our customers. Responsibilities • Collaborate with Sales & Operations teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful delivery of retail projects. • Develop and maintain relationships with key retail clients, providing tailored solutions that meet operational and technical requirements. • Train and mentor sales team members on technical aspects of the product line to enhance consultative selling. • Oversee project execution, ensuring timelines, specifications, and budgets are met while maintaining a high standard of customer service. • Support the retail sales team in developing proposals, quotes, and product recommendations aligned with client needs. • Provide technical assistance during client consultations to match specifications with operational requirements. • Assist in preparing and reviewing bids and customer presentations. • Maintain accurate CRM data for all client interactions, proposals, and project updates. • Review technical drawings and documentation for retail projects to ensure alignment with customer expectations. • Support on-site setups, testing, and troubleshooting for new retail projects or installations. • Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met. • Gather post-project feedback and identify opportunities for recurring or expanded business. Qualifications • 5 to 7 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, or technical sales advisor, on complex and consultative retail projects. • Required background in refrigeration and/or HVAC. Experience can include technical training, engineering, design or field implementation, service, commissioning and installation. • Excellent communication and client service skills with attention to detail and organization. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam (or similar) and refrigeration diagrams, drawings and mechanical schedules. • Ability to travel up to 20% for client meetings, site visits, and trade shows.
